Week 2: Alexis Evelyn Living in London!

Loving London already! My internship is pretty cool and I still can't wipe the "accomplished" smile off my face :) I've been eating some great food and living up this fun adventure!

Gone Fishing! 

Went fishing for the 1st time with my boys brother and "mate" :) It was actually pretty cool, at first I thought it would be a little boring but it turned out to be fun! There was beautiful weather but no bites from the fishes :( 

After, we went back home and ordered Indian food and drank ciders.

Next day we cleaned my boys BMW Z4 Coupe aka "Zeddy" :)

 This was pretty fun and normal to me, so I wasn't nervous about messing up! The girls were all sweet and they were all from different places which I thought was interesting.

I went on an adventure on my own for the 1st time and ended up in this little area! It was so cool, but I ended up eating earlier and missing this feast! I also walked around a whole lot more that day and saw so many cool things!

The 4th of July!

My boy felt bad that I was missing 4th of July with my family so he met me up after my internship and took me out to eat BBQ and get drunk. I had so much fun that night but felt like such a loser wearing my kitty cat jumper riding a unicycle! I didn't know we were going out and I wasn't prepared!

Week 1: Alexis Evelyn Living in London!

I did it! I actually took the leap...quit my job, booked a flight and selected an internship! I've been here for a week and can't even explain how awesome this has been! I left all I know in California to pursue my career in fashion in the UK :)

I'll be here for exactly 5 months...June 21st- November 21st and will be celebrating my 25th birthday out of the country for the 1st time in my life!

There's a lot of emotions going through my mind, but one that I mainly feel is happy. I miss my family and I know it's only been a week since being gone, I just know it'll get harder in time- missing out on random hangout days and summer adventures. Only real thing that keeps me positive is the fact that I'm in London and have been dreaming about this for 2 years now...and I'm in technically in the future so while I'm asleep they're hanging out so it's not tooo bad since I'm already in bed!

I'm excited for the next few months and already had an unforgettable week!

I had a few days off before I started my internship so I took advantage of laying around and eating a lot before I get busy running around town. We celebrated our 2 years since meeting and had some really great homemade breakfasts and dinners, made by him :)

I started my internship at Code Le Vush on Thursday 6/27 in Kilburn, and already created 2 pairs of trousers for the collection :) My boss and fellow intern hit up a magazine lauch party for Exalt magazine on Friday night...that felt so "Sex and the City' like! We drank champagne and got to know one another. We parted around 8:30pm and I hopped the train, on my own, back to Chingford to be picked up at the station.

It's Sunday now, a very chill Sunday for us! Just getting ready for the week coming up and I looking forward to more stories and more pictures to post!

Next 5 months!

I'm very excited about the next 6 months. I can't believe it's almost June! Time is flying way too fast and it's not giving me the chance to do the things I'm capable of doing. I'm excited to say that as of right now I'm leaving the country for 5 months and interning at a fashion line in London... yes! L-O-N-D-O-N!! I'm really excited and extremely nervous about everything.
Sadly, my biggest worry is what to bring! My goal is to create a new line, seriously, with 8-10 brand new pieces. I'm so ready to focus on my career again and get my life rolling!

Everything is slowly falling into place...even though while planning this, I was locked up in my room stressing out and crying about my next move. I'm officially out of my apartment June 6th. I absolutely loved my apartment and room up until February...where I was overcome with a mold problem. Since then my experience has been horrible and I can't wait to get out and leave the complex.

Since college and even high school I've always wanted to study abroad and explore a new city on my own. Of course the school I chose to go to lied by saying they have transfer programs...so I never got the chance to explore a city on my own. Little did I know a year after graduating I'd meet a little London boy from foggy London town in Sin City.

From there I've traveled to London 4x's, Bath, Paris and Rome! He has come to visit me 7x's which gave me the chance to explore California and Las Vegas through his eyes :)

I feel so lucky to be where I'm at right now, however...while living it I felt sad and depressed! Long distance is so hard...but it really shows how much you can care about a person. Who knows what will happen in the future, I just know that at this point in my life this is the right time for me and I will never regret this new chapter in my life!
