Week 4: Alexis Evelyn Living in London!

This week has been pretty busy with getting ready for my internships photoshoot. The photoshoot was going to be an outdoor shoot in the beautiful gardens from the Fenton House. We all planned to meet at the station and walk to the location together...but little did I know, I went to the wrong station. I spent around 2 hours of walking/traveling to get to the location. By 11am I was told that I could go home because the shoot was set to end at 1pm. I was half way there and figured it'd be a total waste to go home. While on my adventure to the location, I saw a lot of cute shops and beautiful buildings! It was actually a great experience :) I took a few pictures and finally got to the location.
Here are a few photos of adventure/shoot!

Drinks/food at Holy Bush in Hampstead :)

On July 18th it was my boys mum's birthday :) I decided to decorate the kitchen to surprise her, and she was happy! She had a load of birthday cards on the table, I've never seen so many before. We ate dinner the day before with the family and on Friday we all went to 'Zoo Lates' and wore animal ears!
It was a lot of fun :) We saw a tiger and the penguins...and the rest of the time we drank ciders and ate Paella (my new favorite food!) It was a blast! After we went to a bar and drank a little more and then rushed to the tube to catch it before it shut.
This was so much fun :)

Can't wait for the next week...and the next after that!!

Alexis Evelyn: Wedding Reception Dress pictures- Lisa and Andrew Namminga

Lisa and Andrew Namminga were set to get married on Saturday July 13th, 2013 at a private apple orchard and ranch in Yucipa, California.

This was the first time I've ever used yellow, so I was a little worried, but man I loved this dress!! I started working on this bad boy in May/June... all while I was planning my move to London, dealing with my current apartment and working 40hours a week...I was busier than ever!
The bride was a cool client and I'm happy my dress got to be a part of her wedding day :)

Attached are pictures of this Alexis Evelyn reception dress adventure!

Hand embroidered "A+L" at the hem of the dress and added a lace pocket in the bodice for her grandmother's/mother's necklace charms- pocket sewn on left side, close to the heart ;)

Vintage inspired flower design was created with pastel pink pearls and Swarovski crystals at top of bodice. This was all done by hand; it was a big struggle measuring everything properly and hand sewing each pearl...but I loved it!

Below is pictures from their wedding day <3 I absolutely LOVE my dress and couldn't be happier with the finished outcome :)

Congrats!

Week 3: Alexis Evelyn Living in London!

 I'm loving this London life!!

The Wireless festival was awesome (7/12/13)!! We got to Olympic Park around 2pm...didn't sneak any drinks in or pre-game and the second we get there people are already wasted or double fisting. So we got our hands on some ciders and got to business!
We saw John Legend, Miguel, Trey Songz, Snoop and Justin Timberlake!!! By the time Trey came out, like 7pm, we were done for! We were making friends with random people and singing and dancing to songs we didn't know. It was awesome! I told him my one rule for the night is to get as close to the stage as possible once JT comes out. He kept his promise and got us in the middle & bought me a JT tank top :) I was excited, wasted and starving! Once JT came out I was satisfied and danced my butt off!
The problem with drinking all day, excitement and jumping up and down meant potty time!!! Once JT was towards the end of his show, we started walking towards bathroom and exit to get out before the whole world did. We continued to watch the show and broke it down off the lawn, that was the best time!! JT released "Take Back the Night" that day and preformed it that night!! It was unbelievable!! Overall that day with my boy was a success :) We had to take a few trains back and wake up early to help his dad move...so once we got home we crashed out!

Internship!
Was sent on my first material run and I was pretty excited :) I was given the wrong directions at first, but I figured out where to go so it was cool. I went to a warehouse shop to by zippers and snaps then hopped on train to find fabrics on Berwick Street (posh fabric stores that cost a lot money). I had a blast looking for fabric, and fell in love with a few bits and pieces to use for myself :P

Clutch I helped design and create :)

On the weekend we went to visit his step dad and his step dad's family :)
We went to this really cute town and walked around to check out the shops. Their family was so sweet and entertaining! This is his step dad's brother's daughter, Ruby. She was so cute and everyone loved her so much. This was the first time my boy held a baby, she had a major crush on him too lol.

End of a great week :) Hanging out in the backyard until we finish our tea.

Can't wait for the next week...and the next after that!!
